August Sales Data for every central Illinois community

Here’s a great link showing all of the sales data for August 2016 compared to August 2015, as well as year to date data from Jan 1st through the end of Aug.

This covers each individual community such as Dunlap, Morton, Germantown Hills, Metamora, East Peoria, Peoria, Peoria Heights, Bartonville, West Peoria and more. It also covers the same data for each county, so it covers Peoria County, Woodford, Tazewell as well as Stark, Fulton, and Marshall counties.

It addresses such categories as the number of new listings, closed sales, average sales prices, days on market, listing price to selling price ratios, and total inventory.

One thing to always keep in mind is that when looking at a micro look at data (for example just a single month) some percentages can be further off than the year to date data. Also, smaller communities, such the city of Canton for example, compared to the city of Peoria as a whole, can show wild variations.  A great example of this would be Metamora, which shows that sales were up 300% for the month of August, but the micro look at it shows that they sold 4 homes in August 2016 compared to 1 home in August 2015.
