Let’s see how things are doing in Washington. This data is comprised of the most current available data, which is July 2016. The Aug numbers won’t be out for about 2 weeks, but let’s see where things stand so far.
Washington saw an increase for the month in homes for sale, up 4.9%, which is actually only 4 more homes than normal. Sales were up 5 units, which equates to 13.2%, and the average sales price was up 22%. The average days on market was longer…from 61 days to 83 days, which amounted to 36.1%.
That data was for July 2016 compared to July 2015.
Year to date stats, for the period 1/1/2015 through to July 31st, 2015, and the same period for 2016, shows that new listings in Washington were down 5.6%, sales were up 3.1%, and days on market were about the same…up 2 days to 77 days on average.
