Well the Feb stats just rolled out as we are getting ready to head into the end of March. This data shows a continued slow start to 2014 in terms of sales, at least for the first two months of 2014 compared to the first two months of 2013. Some of this I don’t have any doubt is related to the crazy weather we had and the extreme snow and cold.
For some of the major markets we have the following data through the end of Feb.
Peoria is down 26.9% in new listings coming on the market but up 5.7% for sales year to date. The average sales price was up 30%, up to $112K. The days on market was also up 20% to 102 days. No one wanted to be wading through the snow and ice I guess this year.
Dunlap is down 32% in new listings coming on the market and also down 33% for sales year to date. The average sales price was down 6%, to $277K. The days on market was also up 40% to 135 days.

Morton is down 46% in new listings coming on the market but up 14% for sales year to date. The average sales price was up 38%, up to $237K. The days on market was also down 16% to 60 days.
